I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (license #
MFC 49070) in the state of California with over 12 years of
experience. I received my Doctorate of Psychology from the
Chicago School of Professional Psychology, my MA in Psychology
from Chapman University and my BA in Psychology from California
State University, Long Beach. I have worked in a variety of
settings for the past 12 years including community clinics,
schools, and the OC Juvenile Hall and Theo Lacy Jail.
I've loved psychology since I took my first psychology class
in high school and I always knew I wanted to have a career
where I could really make a difference in my community in
a positive way. As a Marriage and family Therapist I try and
provide a safe environment that allows my clients to explore
our thoughts and feelings. My hope is that with my advice,
guidance and insight, my clients gain insight to guide them
through the challenges they face and provide them with the
tools they need to move forward into a new chapter of their
lives.
I have genuine respect for my clients and understand the
pressures and conflicting demands that careers, families,
and relationships can create. I try and use compassion, humor,
and understanding to help my clients to overcome the emotional,
relational, social, and professional roadblocks that we all
face at one time or another. My approach is to provide custom
and personalized therapy with care and attention to the needs
and values of each unique individual. I feel that I am strong
in both empathizing and understanding the unique aspects of
each of my clients and in providing them with realistic, practical
problem solving to achieve real results.
